3D Printen
I was impressed by the possibilities an 3D printer would have combined with my modeltrain hobby.
And bought a Monoprice Select Mini V2 printer.
It was not so easy as thought. Not simply throw a STL to the printer and it will be fine. No, not at all.
There were enough failures to learn from. And also, 3D design has a steep learning curve too.
Started to desig in Sketchup, a free 3D drawing web application. Quite difficult to learn, dispite the multiple Youtube video's available.
Then I came across another free 3D design application. Fusion 360. Free for perosnal use. More technical orientated.
At some point I wanted to print something bigger then the Monoprice could handle.
Could put my hands on a Creality CR10 V3 printer. With a large print bed. Again, you need to know your printer.
Both printers are use regularly, not as much as I want. Not so much for the modeltrain, more to repair stuff or create a bracket for the taillight of my eBike, a mount for my phone on the motorbike.
Or just some feet for a cabinet. Ideas enough. Time is a different story.
